As a passionate fan of Ted Lasso and a Travel Advisor, I always wanted to walk through the real-life locations that brought so much joy to my living room. Recently, that idea became a reality when I hosted 8 other fans on an intimate 6-Day Ted Lasso Film Locations Tour through London and Amsterdam. We experienced unforgettable moments, delightful surprises, and memories that will forever stay with me. I wanted to highlight this journey, day by day, so the memories can live on and inspire my future custom small group trips and maybe inspire you to join us!
Day 1: Welcome to London!
Our tour kicked off in London, where the group met for the first time and got to know one another during our first activity. A double-deck bus tour of London's highlights, but this unique ride included an afternoon tea service with yummy treats that still have me drooling.

I connected with my fellow fans, shared our favorite show moments, and speculated about the third season. It felt like an impromptu Ted Lasso fan club right there on the bus!
After we all enjoyed welcome drinks at The Red Lion - a quintessential English pub, where we shared an English pie board, and other yummy bar bites to get to know one another more, Not the pie you might be thinking but savory meat and veggie pies that were delicious!
Day 2: Richmond
A private driver scooped us up from our hotel and we headed for Richmond! Here we met Emmy - founder of The Original Ted Lasso tour! She did an amazing job showing our group the iconic locations we all know and love from the series! She's continuing to build on her tour offering, and I would be happy to personally coordinate a tour with her for you on your next trip to London! During the tour, we passed through lovely alleyways of cute shops and walked along the water. I fell in love with Richmond and will definitely be back to spend more time here.
Saving the best for last, the tour concluded outside the Prince's Head, known in the show as the Crown & Anchor. The pub is owned by Mae and frequented by Ted and Beard to share a pint. We all shared that same pint in the famous pub and enjoyed a yummy meal.
During our tour, we passed by a fun establishment, not famous in the show but famous in town for having the only bar you can get trapped at during a high tide! This place must have caught everyone's eye because after our dinner, we all were itching to get back and enjoy a drink and watch the sunset outside. The pub culture, spilling into the street, is something that I love about England.

Day 3: Stadium Tours
Our amazing driver picked us up again for a day filled with exclusive access the fields where AFC Richmond played and practiced.
Stop one was at Hayes & Yeading FC's pitch, which is used for all of the practice scenes for Ted & the team. This is also the exterior shots of Rebecca's office, which overlooks the field. It was a bit surreal to see it all in real life, smell the turf, and see some fun filming tricks to get that Hollywood look at this location.
I swear I only asked them all to hold this banner twice :)

Stop 2 was the epic Premier League-level stadium, Selhurst Park, home to very real footballers of Crystal Palace. Who just won the FA Cup in 2025! Having watched countless matches unfold on screen, standing in front of the actual grounds was a thrilling experience. The tour guide here was amazing, she was so passionate about her club and its players, its history, and its future that we were all Crystal Palace fans by the end! A must-do for any sports fan visiting London - Crystal Palace has launched its very own Stadium & Ted Lasso Tour as well! You may see some familiar faces on their booking page :)

Day 4: The Team Goes to Amsterdam

After an amazing time in London, we boarded the Eurostar, chunnel train to Amsterdam, a surprise highlight for most travelers, as the ride was comfortable, scenic, and took us through an unexpected stop in France. Not to mention, I booked us all premium coach seats, so it included food and wine! We also managed to get in most of a Phase 10 game!
After checking into the hotel, the group shared a delicious meal along with a Spritz Tower that was Instagram worthy for sure!
Day 5: A Day Well Spent
The weather was ideal. Sunny, breezy, and perfect for our canal cruise. It's been proven time and time again on my trips- no one has a bad time on a boat! Our guide offered up the perfect balance of commentary and silence for us all to enjoy the casual cruise through the beautiful waterways of the city. Wine and bitterballen snacks kept our bellies full until dinner.

After our cruise, we enjoyed a private tour of the Van Gogh Museum. If you are a fan of the show, you know the Sunflower painting had effects on Ted that led him to his Total Football ephiphany. We enjoyed learning about Van Gogh's life, his works, and getting the "feel" of the sunflower painting, as they have developed an experience for the visually impaired where you can feel the paint on canvas at the exact depths and heights it is on the authentic version. What a unique experience!
Day 6: Grateful for the E-Bike

Setting off early, we geared up, boarded the bike ferry, and cycled through the Dutch countryside to Zaanse Schans. A historic working Windmill village. A rare sight to see, 4 of them were operating during our visit, so we got to see them in action!
The e-bike feature made this ride pleasant for all. Most of the ride was on dedicated bike paths, so there was not too much stress of the crazy Amsterdam bike culture. I know this activity was a highlight for many on my tour. Something about riding a bike brings out the youthful playfulness we sometimes lose in adulthood.
The night concluded with our farewell dinner - where I ate one of the best Schnitzel I've ever had and dream about to this day! I went around the table asking everyone about their favorite moments of the trip. We all shared and I loved that some of those unplanned moments I always leave room for are the lasting memories with many of my guests!
Reflecting on My Ted Lasso Adventure
As the tour concluded, I felt a deep sense of fulfillment and joy. I had created something unique, a tour you can't book anywhere else. The combination of iconic film locations, unexpected moments with new friends, and heartfelt reflections made this journey truly special.
When I landed back home after this trip, I knew I wanted to host more small groups on fun adventures to see destinations through a new lens or with an intended purpose whether that be film locations, wine tastings or wildlife. The memories I created during this trip will always have a cherished place in my heart.
